Day 3
It wasn’t so easy to wake up this morning. I hadn’t fallen asleep until just after 11pm last night so I needed an extra 10 minutes of ‘snooze’ after the 6:30am alarm clock. The first thing I noticed when pulling my knees in to my chest for a quick stretch was a stiffness in my left hip. Hopefully it is nothing serious and just the result of starting exercising again.
Not long after that is was time for 15 minutes of a gentle paced row on the Concept 2 rowing machine. In 15 minutes I covered 2770 meters.
As the day had gone on I noticed that I was starting to get some delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) in my chest and shoulders. Bizarrely I often get sore muscles not the next day after exercise but the day after that.
No exercise due this evening but 10 to 15 minutes of lower body stretches as I have very tight hamstrings.
I am starting to feel tired now so an early night is on the cards. Resistance training again tomorrow.
