Day 4
Although I failed to get to bed until 11pm last night I was surprised to wake up before my alarm clock at 6:30am. After 20 minutes of waking and gentle stretches I spent 15 minutes on the cross trainer at level 1 on the interval programme.
Being on a training course and socially obliged to eat out at lunch I chose a chicken ceaser salad which was delicious and probably an extravagance on my current eating regime.
Resistance training today on the bowflex. For the first 6 weeks of phase 1 I am going to train my whole body on a 1 day on 2 days off schedule. Although I believe in the ‘one set’ training methodology I am going to gradually build up from 1 set per exercise to 3 over the first 6 weeks. At that point I will review my training and decide if I need to continue with more of the same program or do a split body routine.
Looking at these photographs daily really does make me realise just how much fat I have. I don’t think that I really believed I was so over-weight. I must have been burying my head in the sand.
