Day 9
For the first time in a while it was quite tough to wake up at 6:30am this morning. I went on the cross trainer and immediately I could tell that my body felt more drained than normal. I am not sure if this is the result of days of exercise with no rest or just a lack of sleep. If it continues I shall build in a rest day where I do no exercise. I managed the full 15 minutes at level 1 on the interval programme.
Monday is always a demanding day at work with some challenging classes in the afternoon. Other than that the day was relatively uneventful.
At about 7pm I was sat at the computer about to do some work and was suddenly overcome with tiredess. I retreated to the sofa where I fell asleep, almost instantly, for 3 hours. I have noticed since starting to eat a raw food diet that I have had an additional requirement for sleep. I don’t know if this is my body attempting to repair itself, or if it is something else.
The last time I remember needing so much sleep was as a teenager. I remember leaving work at lunch time to have a kip in my car before returning for the afternoon.
