Day 14
After being so tired after the workout yesterday I was asleep by 9:30 pm last night. I awoke refreshed without the need for the alarm at about 6:40am. That felt like a good nights sleep. I spent 15 minutes on the cross trainer and am pleasantly surprised how awake that 15 minutes of exercise each morning makes me feel. I am sure driving blood in to each extreme of the body gets things going ready for the day ahead.
No DOMS today. I am a little bit stiff in the chest, torso and legs but nothing major.
I tried out my VitalMAX Oscar juicer today and am very impressed. I had been using a centrifugal juicer up to now but I was convinced I was losing some of the juice to the pulp bin. With the new juicer the pulp comes out very dry. The juice also tastes better.
I have been reading the book ‘Raw food made easy’ by Jennifer Cornbleet. There is an accompanying DVD (purchased separately) and I feel that I can now easily add more raw food to my diet and get more nutrients in my food.
I was at my niece’s birthday party today and didn’t even consider eating any party food. I read somewhere that we are socially programmed to eat party food at parties and that it is just a matter of realising it. I have realised that I had been eating junk food a lot of the time due to attending functions etc. I just made sure I had a juice before I left the house and I was satisfied all afternoon.
For the first time ever I now know my mental state is right to complete this project. The daily posts is a constant reminder of what is important and each dietary challenge has been thought about long before I have to cross it.
This evening is abs training and I am now up to 16 reps per exercise for 3 abdominal and 1 back exercises.
An early night before 10:30 pm will go down well if I can manage. I am going to go and put the kids in bed now.
