Day 18
After almost three weeks of feeling good I have had my first ‘low’ day.
It was really difficult to get out of bed this morning. I just seemed stiff and ached a bit. I then went for a cycle along the Ballacrye and Cronk route and took 17minutes and 10 seconds – an improvement on the last cycle. The cycle was probably the right choice for today.
I never felt right all morning. I had an aching trapezius muscle from sleeping incorrectly and I just felt lack lustre and drained of energy. I had started to wonder if I was going a bit too heavy on the resistance training and that my body was taking too long to recover. I had thought that, having become stronger on all exercises each session, that I should perhaps try not to make any progress but just maintain the weight and sets for a couple of workouts.
Having said that by the time this evening has come I am starting to feel OK again. I will decide tomorrow if I should maintain the weight or try to make progress. After all, there is a whole 20 hours between now and the workout tomorrow.
I am pleased that I have maintained my morning exercise up to now. I wasn’t sure if I would tire and need a break from it but so far so good. There are days I feel tired but not enough to make me want to not do the exercise. I do feel so much better afterwards.
